THE GETTING-READY
If possible, choose a naturally lit room for getting ready. Soft daylight creates flattering visuals and enhances the overall look of your photos.
Prepare your details in advance. gather everything you'd like to be captured: shoes, rings, accessories, perfume, invitation cards, vow books, and any sentimental items, so they're ready when we arrive.
Assign a bridesmaid or groomsman to tidy up the space and remove clutter (plastic bags, water bottles, etc.). this saves time and helps us start filming right away.
Steam the dress the night before and lay out accessories so the getting-ready shoot flows without any morning panic.
Ideally, aim to be 90% ready (hair and makeup nearly done, dress not yet on) at least 30–40 minutes before the schedule moves on. this gives us time to film details and candid moments without rushing.
Don't look at the camera every time. Candid moments of laughing or fixing your veil are often stronger than posed shots.
Breathe before each shot. Held breath tightens the face and shoulders and reads as tension.
